About the Role

You will be accountable for providing residents with high-quality personal, social, and emotional support and care in keeping with Arcare’s core values. You will be instrumental in ensuring the overall well-being of the residents.

Your primary functions will be:

  • Providing support with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, using the restroom, and hygiene, while ensuring that the dignity and privacy of every resident are maintained.
  • Mobility support consists of assisting the elderly with walking, utilizing mobility aides, and transferring from one position to another, such as from a bed to a wheelchair.
  • Observing and reporting any alterations in the health or behavior of the resident.
  • Meal assistance involves providing residents with support regarding their dietary needs, ensuring they have access to the necessary food, and aiding them in the consuming process.
  • Recordkeeping: Ensuring the accuracy of care rendered, observations made, and any modifications to the resident’s condition as documented on eCase.
  • Working in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of care conceivable.

Skills & Experience

  • The equivalent of Cert III Individual Support (Aging).
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
  • Capable of collaborating and working in a team.
  • Capabilities for cordial and effective communication.
