The Caretaker is accountable to the Area Supervisor for the following duties: daily cleaning of a designated area; stock maintenance of cleaning supplies and light bulbs; replacement of burned-out light bulbs; arrangement, dismantling, and cleaning of facilities before and following special events; reporting equipment and lighting malfunctions; relocation of furniture and equipment within the designated area; execution of special cleaning tasks as delegated; and upkeep of the master clean.

  • Proficiency in cleaning protocols and grounds upkeep, along with hands-on experience in the secure operation and upkeep of necessary machinery (e.g., floor polisher, vacuum cleaner, carpet extractors, power scrubber, lawnmower, weed eater, snow blower, etc.), is required.
  • must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing in English.

  • Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills with faculty, students, event organizers, and the general public.
